Founded in 2023, by Kay, HR Buddy was created to help support companies with their HR initiatives. HR Buddy’s mission is to enable small businesses, for whom employing a full time HR person/team is not practical, to access a wide range of expert HR services on an a la carte basis. HR Buddy is based in the Cayman Islands, but with a worldwide reach.

Hey there, I'm Kay – Founder and HR Buddy.

I've pretty much been living the hospitality life throughout my career, trying on different hats and soaking up the wisdom of working with people. From making sure guests had an exceptional experience to realizing the true power of a motivated and empowered team, it's been a journey.

Around 2013, I made the leap into Human Resources, fully embracing the idea that people are the real game-changers in any organization. While I got my hands dirty with all things HR, my main focus was performance development and training. Fast forward a bit, and I found myself in a senior leadership role, juggling multiple hats and overseeing HR functions.

But you know what really got me going? The idea of HR Buddy. It wasn't just a business move – it came from my own yearning to create a workplace utopia and the chats I had with folks from small to medium-sized companies. They were telling me, "Hey, we don't have an HR department, but we sure could use some HR magic!" So, here I am, helping companies find their HR bliss. Let's make work awesome together!
